Welcome to ‘Drew Storen’s Eyes’ – An occasional baseball podcast talking Blue Jays, MLB musings, various mysteries of the universe, and shortbread recipes.

Episode 8

Phil and Lou catch up in September to hash out the Jays playoff aspirations over the phone. Phil is watching the Jays play Seattle on television from Toronto, and is poetically greeted by a familiar face on the mound. Lou is wandering his new neighbourhood, scouting talent at a softball game in Vancouver. Kyle Seager of the Mariners is briefly discussed, as Phil discovers that he doesn’t play for the Seahawks. The boys then debate the merits of potential National League award winners, discredit the value of pitching ‘Wins’ as a valid indicator of performance, and deflate the ‘WAR’ statistic – illustrating it’s sheer lunacy in the modern game… ‘Drew Storen’s Eyes’ just may be the most entertaining and exhilarating 45 minutes of your life…
